Neue Studienordnung mitgestalten!
Die Beratungen am Fachbereich zur Reform unseres Studiengangs gehen in die heiße Phase. Bis zum Mittwoch (6.2.) sollen in einem offenen Treffen für Studierende und WiMis die wichtigsten Forderungen für eine sinnvolle Reform herausgearbeitet werden. Wir Studierende können dabei viel gewinnen und viel verlieren.
Zur Zeit wird an der FU eine grundlegende Reform des Studiengangs Rechtswissenschaften vorbereitet. Wir müssen uns als Studierende von Anfang an einschalten, um mitzugestalten. Dazu möchten wir gemeinsam mit den WiMis ein Vortreffen organisieren, in dem wir eine gemeinsame Position erarbeiten können. Dafür muss nun kurzfristig ein Termin gefunden werden, hier zum Beitrag "Terminfindung: Offenes Treffen zur Studienstrukturreform".
Bei der jetzigen Reform besteht die Möglichkeit, das Studium grundlegend zu verbessern. In der derzeitigen Studienordnung wurden die Interessen der Studierenden leider viel zu wenig berücksichtigt.
Das zeigt sich meiner persönlichen Meinung nach insbesondere am Zeitpunkt des Schwerpunktstudiums, der auf Druck der Professoren auf das 7.&8. Semester verschoben wurde. Da ein Semester (vorgesehen ist das 9.) in keinem Fall ausreicht, um den gesamten Examensstoff zu wiederholen, können Studierende oft ihren Freischuss nicht wahrnehmen oder müssen ihn nur als "kostenlosen Klausurenkurs" betrachten. Der Großteil versucht daher, die Regelungen irgendwie zu umgehen, vor allem durch die Vorverlegung des Schwerpunkts auf das doch sehr frühe 5. und 6. Semester, oder durch das Einschieben eines Auslandssemesters (Mehr dazu im früheren Beitrag "Wann soll ich den Schwerpunkt machen?"). Eine Lösung wäre sicherlich, den Schwerpunkt auf das 6. und 7. Semester zu verschieben, aber sicherlich gibt es noch weitere Ansätze.
Doch darüber hinaus gibt es noch weitaus mehr Verbesserungsbedarf. So fallen viele Studierende nach dem - meist intensiven und lehrreichen - Grundstudium im Hauptstudium in gewisse Teilnahmslosigkeit. Obwohl etwa Handels- und Gesellschaftsrecht, Zivilprozess- oder Strafprozessrecht höchste Examensrelevanz haben, sind sie im Lehrplan des Hauptstudium eher stiefmütterlich und ohne Möglichkeit zur eigenen Überprüfung versehen.
Die so genannten "Übungen", die den Kern der Examensvorbereitung seitens der Uni bilden sollten, sind mit zwei Semesterwochenstunden angesetzt, was effektiv anderhalb Stunden in der Woche sind. Davon sind natürlich noch die Klausurtage abzurechnen. Kein Wunder, dass wichtige Examensgebiete, wie etwa das öffentliche Baurecht oder ZPO/StPO in so kurzer Zeit nicht unterrichtet werden können und stets unter den Tisch fallen. Die Abschaffung des Übungssystems zu Gunsten von vorgeschriebenen Modul-Abschlussklausuren wäre ein Vorschlag, das Hauptstudium zu verbessern.
Das Unirep gehören meines Erachtens weiterhin in die Studienordnung. Mit aufgenommen sollte dringend auch der dazugehörige Klausurenkurs werden. Nur so kann das Bestehen dauerhaft gesichert werden. Es kann nicht sein, dass unser Unirep jedes Jahr wieder aufs Neue um Mittel kämpfen muss. Vielleicht wäre die Einrichtung eines eigenen Instituts für Rechtsdidaktik sinnvoll, wie es an anderen Universitäten bereits gibt (etwa in der Uni Passau, vgl. Artikel in der Süddeutschen).
Wir sollten uns gemeinsam dafür einsetzen, dass uns der Fachbereich besser auf das Staatsexamen und das Berufsleben vorbereitet.
Jeder ist daher zum offenen Treffen eingeladen, um die Reform mitzugestalten. Möglichst viele Teilnehmer sind dafür wichtig, und diese sollten aus allen Phasen des Studiums ab dem zweiten Semester bis zur Examensvorbereitung kommen. Die FSI-Vertreter in der Ausbildungskommission sind dann Tina als stellvertretende Vorsitzende der ABK und Karen. Auch die beiden können zum Thema angesprochen werden.
